Part 2: The Growth of Onyx Native

May 8, 2025

Once I had the trailer and made it shoppable, things really started to shift. The pop-ups felt more like an actual storefront — something that people could step into, browse, and experience. And that small step changed everything.

Word started to spread.

People began recognizing the name Onyx Native and telling me things like, “I saw your trailer at the last event!” or “I’ve been following you and had to come check you out.” It was surreal, but it also felt like confirmation, like I was onto something good.

As the brand grew, so did the product line. What started as a few racks of clothing quickly turned into a full collection. I added more sizes, expanded into accessories, and started bringing in pieces that really felt like me. The trailer couldn’t stay static — it had to grow and change, too.

Every event helped me learn something new — from how people shop to what they’re drawn to, to how chaotic things can get when you don’t have a system in place. I was constantly tweaking, rearranging, and improving the layout of the trailer to keep up with the growth of the business.

But more than anything, I started to notice the impact. People weren’t just buying clothes — they were connecting with the brand. They were coming back. They were telling their friends.

And that’s when I knew: this wasn’t just a side hustle anymore. Onyx Native was becoming something real.

Growth doesn’t always come all at once — sometimes it’s slow, sometimes it’s messy, but it’s always worth learning from. I hope this part of the journey shows you that pop-up trailers can evolve with your business and help you connect with customers in a way that’s personal and unforgettable.

From those first few racks to a growing collection, I was learning how to run a business on wheels — and learning fast. Every event, every comment, every tweak inside the trailer pushed Onyx Native further than I ever expected.

But eventually, growth meant change — and the original trailer just couldn’t keep up. Part 3 is all about the next chapter: how I expanded into a brand-new trailer and built a space that felt like me. Get ready for a peek at the upgrade, the vision behind it, and why this move meant so much more than extra square footage
